Speech-Language Consulting/Therapy

Sweta is a licensed and certified speech-language pathologist with over 20 years of experience working with children of different abilities. She graduated with a masters in speech-language pathology from Case Western Reserve University. She has worked in a variety of pediatric settings (inpatient therapy, outpatient therapy, home-based, schools, and private practice). Sweta is an advocate of caregiver education and ensuring goals and activities can be carried over to the home and other child familiar environments.
On a personal note, Sweta moved to Charlotte area from Westlake, Ohio with her husband and two children in 2016. As a mother, she has experienced the challenges of raising children with neurodivergent ability and mental health difficulties.
Kate is from Chicago, Illinois and moved to Charlotte in March 2017. She graduated with her Master’s in Physical Therapy from Saint Louis University in 2004. She then went on to receive her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2010 from Saint Louis University as well. She became a Pediatric Certified Specialist by the APTA in 2012.
Kate has worked in pediatrics her entire career. Before moving to Charlotte, Kate worked in a large Chicago Children’s Hospital in both acute care, ICU and outpatient settings. She has extensive experience in the NICU and with medically complex children. She has taken numerous continuing education on torticollis, plagiocephaly and baby treatments. Kate has lectured on gross motor development in the neonate and infant. She has taught gross motor development to pediatric residents as part of their medical training.
Kate has always had a passion for children and finds great joy in celebrating the big and small milestones in her patients. Kate is a mom of two young boys and experienced a NICU stay and feeding challenges in her own children.

Enhance social and pragmatic communication skills through the art of theater. Geared for neurodivergent kids. Collaboration with local community theatres. Contact for more information.
Provide a home program to improve feeding skills. Build mealtime routines based on family's lifestyle and provide strategies to increase food variety and/or volume.
Lead by SLT and PT on a monthly basis. Varying topics to learn about infant development, activities for physical, cognitive, and communication growth, as well as ways to identify/manage common baby problems.

Direct therapy, provided in your home. Limited slots and out of pocket pay only at this time.
Consists of parent/caregiver interview, formal and informal assessment, and plan of care.
Small group therapy to develop social language skills and learn how to interact/play with others. Make friendships and learn how to handle playdates. Geared towards school-aged children, 5-13 years of age. Only 2-4 kids per group. 60 minute sessions
